Integra had been having one hell of a month. It seemed like everything had been turned upside down. She'd become her nightmare, Zeke was secretly back from the dead, Ravenclaw was getting crowded with people from other houses, and it all left Integra feeling uneasy and a little disconnected. Demons were coming up from her past and she was trying not to let old habits come back and influence who she was working so hard to be. All she wanted to do now, was go up to Ravenclaw and hug Benji. Maybe even reread "Cthulu" and have a cup of hot chocolate with a splash of Vodka. After the excitement and high stress lately, all she wanted was quiet.
When she found the common room silent and empty, Integra sighed with relief. She'd brought a change of comfortable clothes, including her favorite sweater, and changed quickly. She threw her long brown hair up into a messy bun, propped her glasses on her nose, and settled in on a chaise lounge with the blanket from Benji's bed. It felt more like home here than Slytherin did. Luckily, Benji wouldn't be long from class, she could wait and enjoy the alone time for now.
The door opened again a while later, and Integra looked up from her well worn book and hot chocolate. She'd seen the boy here before. He shared a dorm with Ben, but that was hardly why he was so familiar to her. Ichabod Echoes had done a mighty fine job of instilling obedience and fear into his daughter. Early on he'd instructed Integra not to speak to Mikael for reasons she wouldn't understand until she was older. She assumed they were of bad blood, but she couldn't have been more wrong. Never questioning why she needed to avoid the boy, Integra was very careful not to cross his path. Since her years at Hogwarts, Integra had found out more than her share about Mikael and his family. Ichabod didn't want to talk much about it, but Archadia was happy to divulge the information. As instructed she left Mikael alone. Now it was impossible not to interact with him. She held a sigh and blinked up at him, her mind reeling for a moment. "...Hey..." Though a seemingly icy girl, her voice was soft and empathetic. Integra was a new person now. Everything was different. Why keep following her father's instructions?
