Ah Tibet! Zach hadn't been there in ages. Actually...he hadn't been there since he started his career come to think of it. It was one of his first adventures when he was studying under a stuffy old archaeologist. You know the type. Wee little brushes, suits and bowties...dress shoes. Who the hell went digging in suits and dress shoes. Bloody ridiculous. But thanks to Stuffy, he had gotten to meet a rather interesting fellow. Tibetan monk by the name of Jinpa.
Zach and the monk had spent a fair amount of time talking and subsequently it was what had sparked Zachs interest in Buddhism and meditation. Which was also precisely why he was there. One could not could not meditate in London. Oh ho no sir. Far too much noise! People knocking all the time, owls showing up, cars honking around. He'd have a better chance painting a straight line in an earth quake, or stacking marbles!
Now he was outside a small Tibetan monastery, standing on one foot with his arms bent up at the elbows and hips palms open. Unlike his bitty sister, Zach had the balance of cat...he snorted a laugh, as it was funny considering that she..no no supposed to be meditating. Meditation doesn't require giggles. Shush.
Slowly blocking out any noise from around him. It was all about stabilizing the mind. Focusing on your breath, sounds, your thoughts. Finding your center and letting the earth move beneath you. The warm sand and quiet ambiance quelled his mind and soon he was peacefully calm. Jinpa had told him to stay as long as he liked. In reality, Zach could probably stay for months with how peaceful it was. But he was only looking to stay a few days.
As his breathing slowed to a deep and steady pace, his mind cleared of just about everything and he closed his eyes.
