Months. Chloe Salvino had disappeared off the face of the Earth for what seemed like forever. At the end of November she was stricken with one of the most hellish illnesses this world had to offer, and sadly there has yet to be a cure creaked. Fragile didn't even come close to explaining how she felt as she crossed the marbled floor toward the great hall. It was lunch time and she was bound to find her old friends milling about. It would be a welcomed sight to have someone other than the St. Mungos nurses and Vincent. What hurt tore her up the most was that her so called friends never once paid visit. Joram did a few times, it was odd, but welcomed and Nadya certainly paid mind to the poor girl. Shrugging off the thought, Chloe was more angry at herself for not being able to fight it. No Integra, no Bellatrix, no one, perhaps if they'd have shown she would have been able to defeat it, but now she was given and ultimatum. Take medicine and hold out for a couple years in hopes that a cure would be made, or die now and get it over with.
Faced with the options it was not a question in the girl's mind. She had to have some glimmer of hope. Though she still blamed her father, Teigen Salvino, for every bump in the road. The blame weighed heavily on the evidence that pointed at him for the death of her mother. Shrugging it off she made her way to the Slytherin table which happened to be nearly empty. Slipping into a spot far from the rest of her peers.
Nothing looked good. Her stomach turned at the mere thought of eating anything, but she settled for something light. An apple and a small glass of water. That would tide her over, hopefully. Moments passed, she hadn't made sight of any of her friends and she sighed. Chloe was hoping that they might have shown up for lunch, but apparently they were all to good for it. Like everything else.
The mindset she currently held was toxic. Normally she's be traipsing about the halls cursing those who looked at her funny, or trying to kick the hell out of Benjamin Myers. After what Five told her she wasn't exactly too thrilled about picking on anyone now. About halfway through her apple strong arms circled her shoulders and pulled her into a tight hug. Looking up at him with bright hazel eyes she noticed it was Finn Kieran. "Aren't you a sight for sore eyes."
