The common room was empty, as it typically was at such a late time. The fire flickered lamely in the fireplace, just about on its last legs. Lucy felt like she was the only girl in the school at the moment. A bottle of booze purchased off some boy sat at her feet as she sat on the couch and drunkenly watched the fire go down. Her head felt light, her body felt like it no longer knew which way it should be leaning, and every now and then she reached down to grab the alcohol and drank some more. Drinking alone wasn’t a sad thing for her. In fact, she preferred to be alone when she drank. That night, however, she craved for attention, for someone else to be there with her. Her night with Kat sped through her mind… it had been the first time she had enjoyed someone else’s presence, even for a moment. Even Keira. The time she spent with Keira was short, but not agonizing.Lucy finished off the last amount of booze before standing up and nearly falling over. Her hair had been tied up, but was slowly falling out of place as it usually did. She just had so much hair that it was difficult to contain. She repeatedly almost tripped over her boots on her way out of the common room. There was just nothing to do there. It was so boring. Weren’t Slytherins supposed to be exciting? Hardly, considering the only action she had ever received was from a Gryffindor fifth year.Lucy practically fell out of her common room and into the abandoned dungeon corridors. The most supervision in the hallways usually occurred between curfew and about one am. It had to be probably three that Lucy stumbled through the hallway. A song came into her head and she began to sing it, quite loudly at times and other times trying to hit notes that she would never be able to reach. “Fucking Hogwarts. No one ever – ever fucking around when you want ‘em,” she mumbled to herself as she fell sideways into a wall. “Sure, when I’m doing shit people always want my attention but nooooooo.” She laughed for no apparent reason and then slunk to the floor.
