Okay, so that didn't go as expected. No, wait, it went worse than expected. Zoe left Transfiguration feeling embarrassed and rather exasperated. Usually Teddy was around all of the time, and usually he was the one lately who had been helping her with her Transfiguration problems. Her boyfriend, however, seemed nowhere to be found and therefore her practical went atrociously. Her mind kept going back to Teddy and she managed to fluster herself up and not change her teacup into a bird but rather into a teacup-bird hybrid which tried to fly but ended up tragically shattered on the ground and chirping sadly. She could have cried, she would have cried, but she forced herself not to. No, she wouldn't let these near-strangers embarrass her into doing so. It was all in Zoe's head, however. Most of them were sympathetic of her failure, but she didn't see it that way. All she had seen were judging eyes that were happy that she failed so that they would look better.Zoe adjusted the strap on her rucksack uncomfortably. The thing was always way too heavy, and she was constantly amazed that the bag didn't just spontaneously collapse. In all reality, even though she seemed mostly fine on the outside (save for her slightly pink cheeks), she was feeling awfully lonely. She was beginning to form doubts about her relationship, which she never would have thought possible. If he hadn't just disappeared off the map she would have never had thought anything was wrong, but now she was paranoid that he was regretting his choice in asking her to be his girlfriend. She couldn't even get into contact with Hestia to talk it all over with. Her anxiety was eating her from the inside out and she honestly felt as if she were about to crack. Zoe fell deeper into herself than usual, and refused more than usual to make small talk with others. Perhaps she needed more friends, she told herself. Perhaps two just simply wasn't enough. It it were, she knew she wouldn't be feeling the way she was.She kept her brown eyes up in hopes of seeing Teddy towering over the much shorter students, maybe with his usual smile as his eyes fell upon her, but there was nothing. It all just reminded her even more strongly about how Hestia wasn't in her House and soon Teddy would be graduating and leaving her at Hogwarts almost completely alone. Maybe that was why he was avoiding her. Perhaps he was thinking that he needed to get used to her not being around. Perhaps he wanted to end it when he graduated so he wouldn't have to worry about his Hogwarts-aged girlfriend. She was so preoccupied with staring off into the distance, hoping to see the person she was beginning to suspect wouldn't be there, that Zoe didn't even realize who was right in front of her. Her foot hooked around someone's leg who was going past, and she fell to the hard ground, smacking her chin right off the stone floor. That was it, that was enough for her; the final straw, if you will. Tears immediately formed in her eyes and she knew it wasn't just because her chin was now aching horribly. Every insecurity just came to the surface and she began to cry, right then and there in the middle of the busy corridor. She, for once, didn't seem to care what everyone else thought about her as she was so busy with her self-pitying.
