Sirius's view on creatures that were different did not impress Kat mutch. He was much more judgemental than she thought necessary. Though, given that he was a black, she assumed it must run in the family. Maybe he wasn't as different as she had originally thought. Never the less, the encounter was over and she hoped that at least she had made a good impression on the Centaur. Everyone was equal in Kat's mind. It was why she was always nice to the house elves and always polite around other creatures. Who was she to assume she was any better. On the other hand, she expected equal respect form the creature to which she was addressing. Anything less and she was likely to be not so nice.
"Really Sirius, I'm fine. It is just a scratch. You can take off your hero's cape." She sighed and giggled lightly at his insistence to help her. He was now walking backwards in front of her and telling her it wasn't as close as originally indicated. "If you are not careful you are going to fall and be in worse shape than I am." She knew the chance of that was slim, but it was still a possibility. At his mention of the bed she stopped dead and glared at him. "Oh NO! I am not losing this bet. You will have to carry my almost dead body out to win that bet! So you can just stop trying to convince me otherwise, got it?" Continuing her struggle to get to the next tree, Kat became more steady on her feet. She was adapting to the pain, something she had become rather good at in the last year. Being a chaser on the quidditch team meant getting hit by a lot of things. And getting hit with things meant getting used to pain rather quickly and ignoring it for long periods of time.
Finally spotting the field she smiled. "Far away huh? It wasn't that far. Nice try." Flopping her self down on her butt she looked around the grassy area. "Why were we looking for this place anyway? It really isn't that exciting."
