The dance floor was packed, though not everyone was dancing. Most were doing the same as herself. Looking for someone, or simply looking around in general. She tried to place a few faces, feeling she was more or less correct on her guesses. She waved to a few people, some waving back others just staring rather hard at her before shrugging their shoulders.
Standing in the middle of a dance floor was hardly what she wanted to be doing, though she had already gotten an offer to dance. However the offer was not from the person she had come here intending to dance. So she politely declined and walked through the crowd over to the sidelines. Juliet could see that many people had gone to great lengths for the ball. High heels and ballgowns, elegant masks. Of course, her ensemble was not nearly as extravagant as most she was seeing, but she was perfectly thrilled with it. There weren't often times one could wear a regency gown and not look incredibly out of place or mad. Besides, extravagant was not her forte.
Looking around, every which way, she simply could not find Remus anywhere. She of course, wasn't entirely certain as to his outfit, but she had the inkling that he would've done the same as she given their most recent talks. So thats what she was looking for... Brocade coat, cravat, vest. But it was turning out that most everyone had donned a suit of the more typical persuasion.
Yet just when she would've admitted defeat, she saw someone who could only be him. She smiled to herself, fighting the urge to call him over at that moment. Slowly walking toward him, she had a small advantage of surprise as his gaze was elsewhere. While she could've been wrong in her assumption that it was him, she was sure it had to be. Everyone else she had seen all wore the same general theme, save for their masks. Juliet strode up behind him, waiting a moment, wanting to be positive.
Clearing her throat as not to startle him completely, she tapped his shoulder gently. "I was beginning to worry you had forgone the Ball, Mr. Lupin." She spoke quietly with a smile.
