Lucy continued to ask questions. What did she find so interesting? Keira thought herself to actually be quiet boring, in fact, she tried to make herself so to avoid encounters just like this. Sure, there was more to her that she let Lucy see, there was more to her than she let her parents see. She nodded in agreement to Lucy's statement. She could probably handle a relationship quite well if it weren't for all the premature touching and contact. It took the girl a fir bit longer than most to become comfortable;e enough to make physical contact. Yes, it could and usually would happen eventually but never before she really knew the other person well.
Keira could tell that she had made Lucy uncomfortable. She may be shy and quiet but she was an excellent judge of how people were feeling. Really, she didn't expect Lucy to say anything about it. Keira was used to people feeling sorry for her, and really is was getting old. the fact that Lucy didn't make a big deal of it was actually refreshing. "Yes, it means I don't know if I am Muggleborn or not.” Although Keira had no quorums with the word Mudblood, she had come to learn of it's negative implications. She really had no personal problem with muggles and both her adoptive parents were muggle, well, as far as she knew anyway. As such she tended to avoid the use of the negative, if not to honour her parents a little, then to avoid the backlash and possible conflict of saying to the wrong person.
Keira shrugged, a mannerism that she tended to do a lot. "I don't really mind it. Sure, he could be some freaky adult, but I don't plan on ever going to meet him. Besides, if I ever did, and I wont. I could just hex him if he was a creep." She shrugged again, Keira was no against hexing people that pissed her off, and Twitch turning out to be an adult creep would most certainly piss her off.
Keira couldn't argue with the other girls statement. Logic and strategy did come rather easily to her. Not to mention the ease she had when it came to hexes, though that could be a matter of blood. Who really knows. It was clear to her at this point that Lucy held the Slytherin house higher than all the others, but really, that was no surprise to Keira. Most Slytherins did that, and really, it was rather expected. "Yeah well, it is where I was put and I can't change it. Gotta make the best of it I suppose. "
"I couldn't do it. If my parent ever tried to make me marry someone, I kill them... and probably the guy too just to get out of it." She shook her head, "No one tell me what to do and who to love." She almost sounded angry. This was the most emotion she had let Lucy see so far and Keira quickly covered it up with a shrug. "I just don't understand why they go along with it."
Another shrug and a nod for the door later Keira headed for the door. Really, she didn't mind that Lucy had opted to go with her. But she was admittedly a little surprised. Usually people were tired of her quietness and board of her conversation, Lucy however seemed different than the rest and Keira couldn't figure out why. "Where do you want to go?" Normally Keira would head to the library like a stereotypical Ravenclaw and immerse herself in a strategy book, but Lucy didn't seem like the reading quietly type.
