"If I leave here tomorrow....will you still remember me? For I must be traveling on now. 'Cause there's too many places I've got to see."
The sound of a delicate, soprano voice and a guitar echoed quietly through the dungeons. It wasn't the best place to sing by any means. The acoustics were a bit echo-y, and she ran the risk of irritating a rather large room of snakes if she played too loud. Now, she didn't precisely have anything against slytherins not all of them anyway. She was just well aware of their preferences, and she being a half blood didn't make her quite meet their criteria. Her first place of choice was originally the room of requirement, but it had seemed it was already in use and refused to open for her.
"but if I stayed here with you, girl. Things just wouldn't be the same."
So she had ventured deep into the dungeons, far enough away to where she was sure she wouldn't be heard. It was cold, so she was clad in a hoodie and some fingerless gloves. Sure she could've gone outside, but it was too bloody cold out there to get anything done. Her common room was a bit full as of late, which had nixed that idea as well. So the dungeons were as good as any place right now.
"Cause I'm as free as a bird now...and this bird you cannot..." she quieted, the strum of the guitar falling silent. She could've swore she heard footsteps, but the dungeons were too damned dark to see anything outside of her little area. She rested her hand on the acoustic instrument, and leaned, craning her neck to see down the halls.
"Hello? Is there someone down there?" she called, grabbing her wand off the floor and shining it around. "Listen, I can hear you, so I know you're there." atleast she was sure someone was there. For all she knew she could've been talking to a rat. No more noises sounded though, so she readjusted and continued playing, quieter now, still wary that someone was just beyond the shadows.
