[/justify]Darcy raised both of her eyebrows as he admitted that it might be easier than the charm. She couldn’t argue with him about that, she found stapling to be quite simple. That being said, she didn’t have much use for it at Hogwarts because everything was done on parchment rolls and didn’t even require an adhesion charm, ”I mean, maybe. But-” She shrugged, ”You can staple things to walls very effectively and it’s mainly just used for office paperwork and dreary things like that.” She answered honestly. She knew that she loved the magical word, despite being brought up in the muggle one, but she also knew that it could be exciting for those who had never thought anything about it. There was something so interesting about seeing the world from a completely different perspective and she could only imagine that was what Zeke was feeling now, ”I don’t know. Have you had the licorice wands from Honeyduke’s?” She knew that she was attempting to make a joke, but she wasn’t sure that she was doing a very good job. Everything she said was rather mono-tone and lacking in the joking department. She looked up at him expecting to see a smile but instead found herself looking at a rather upset looking Zeke Maxwell, ”It’ll be fun. You should bring your friend, Rory!” She suggested, cocking her head slightly to the side in confusion. She didn’t understand why he was so upset over the idea of getting crepes. ‘Perhaps he’s realized he’s allergic,’ Her subconscious suggested. She shook away the thoughts, trying not to laugh at her own absurdities.
She wasn’t sure why their conversation was still centered around religion, but she found that she didn’t really mind. There was something interesting about discussing it with someone who didn’t grow up surrounded by it. Darcy’s family had always drug her to church and, although she hadn’t really enjoyed it, it had been an experience that was worth having in her life, ”Right no, I’ve-” She realized a little too late that he was joking about the egotistical comment and wanted to put her foot in her mouth. She was making a fool out of herself and she knew it...but she just couldn’t seem to stop, ”I guess that makes sense though. I can only imagine how furious it must make some Wizards.” She tilted her head slightly as she thought about it. If they were unable to control their lives, she knew that it would infuriate them even more. Briefly she wondered if Zeke felt that way...if he had to have the control. She shook away the thoughts again, not sure that she wanted to dwell.
”I actually have no idea where that one came from.” She laughed as he offered an exclamation about the nomenclature of the different muggle items that she had talked about. She really wasn’t sure where the name had come from or who had coined it, but she knew that she had always called it that and that was what it would forever be to her. She realized that she couldn’t just assume that he knew everything about her world, just like he couldn't assume that she knew everything about the wizarding world. To this day, there were still things that surprised her about the magical world...even though she had been a part of it for nearly five years now. He started mumbling about the record player and she offered him a small smile, ”Don’t worry about it really-” She said as she shrugged her shoulders. She understood. It was all about social positioning and apparently she was seen as social suicide amongst the Slytherins, ”There’s actually a record player in the muggle studies classroom that you can look at. Professor Miller keeps it out so that we can play with it-” She smiled at Zeke and then drew her legs up to her chest, almost as if she was in the fetal position. The downstairs had grown quiet of the giggling Bellatrix and Rodolphus and Darcy wondered if it would be safe to escape now. Pressing her lips together she stifled a yawn, ”I think I’m actually going to go-” She breathed standing up and tugging at the bottom of the shirt.
