Be smart? Bella was so tired of being smart. Her father had never been the smart one, it had always fallen to Bellatrix to be the brains of the family. To invest her mother’s inheritance where it needed to be, to make the family fortune flourish again...and she had succeeded in all of that. They were slowly rebuilding their name. But they wouldn’t get there quick enough. They had to do more, Bellatrix Black had to do more. And that was where the Purity War came into play. It was a chance to solidify the plans that she had already made for her family.
Andromeda’s fingertips slipped out of her grasp as the trifecta seemed to be broken. For a moment in time, Bells was stunned. Why could she not see that what they were doing was right? They would not end up in Azkaban, they would end up as the leaders of this new world. Andy could be Mistress of Magic if she wanted, Bells could remain at the right hand of Riddle, and Regulus could do anything that his heart desired. Regulus himself had also stepped out of the circle, suddenly leaving Bella as a concave point in their formation, “I have allowed Regulus to make his own decisions, Andromeda. And he has chosen this path and to stand with me during this war. Soon he’ll be marked as well, of his own accord.” The annoyance was beginning to seep into her voice, “Let it be known that I have not ruined anything. I’ve made this family better. I’ve taken us from the very threshold of destruction and brought about a new dawn of this family.”
Regulus demanded that she reaffirm what he had already said. Softly, she put her hand on his shoulder as they faced Andromeda together, a delicate gesture coming from the normally dangerous Bella. Regulus had little idea of the inner workings of the Death Eaters. But Bella knew. She knew the pleasure that she took from torturing another being, the feeling of seeing their bones crack and their minds bend at the other side of her wand. Bells had yet to kill in the name of her cause, but she would. She would, “I am not a monster, Andy. I never have been. Regulus isn’t a monster either. I-” She needed her sister to know that this was not just killing for the sake of blood on her hands. This was cleansing the world from what was un-pure. Taking into their hands the very duty that the Family Black had bestowed upon them at their beginning: Toujours Pur, “We are protecting our right. Regulus, you’ll come to the next meeting with me, won’t you?”
“Fine.” She knew that she was left with little choice. They wouldn’t get any further with Andromeda tonight...not after everything that the girl was saying. But she had managed to get her to support the family, and that was all she needed. For, as head of the Black Family, Bellatrix could still control her sisters, “For the House of Black.” She turned and moved back into the open air of the common room, tiring of being confined to the small alcove where the arguing had been taking place. She was mildly disappointed in her sister’s choice, but she would eventually see the light. Eventually, all three of the Black Sisters and their cousin Regulus would stand as a united front behind the Dark Lord, “But, you will allow Narcissa to make her own choices.” That was a non-negotiable in her eyes. Andromeda did not own the rights to this family, she was not the leader. That was Bellatrix’s job, “Just as you were offered a choice to stand with us or upon the side-lines, Cissy will be offered the same choice. It is up to her to make her decision - regardless of the path that you’ve chosen to take. And, furthermore-” Bella's green eyes lit up with dangerous accusation as she turned to face Andy, "You will restrain yourself from pretending as if you are the matriarch of this family."TAG; @andromeda | @regNOTES; --
