Sirius looked at Monika like she was crazy, and then he burst out laughing. "Were you just waiting to let that one out?" he asked between laughs. When he finally finished he added, "To me that sounds kind of gross, to be honest." All he could think about was a snog with much too much tongue... although he didn't know how much tongue was too much. How did someone know how much tongue to use? The question had never crossed his mind, and suddenly he was plagued with questions that he could never say out loud. He suddenly felt really dumb, and he wasn't even sure he could voice his concerns to any of his friends. Sirius was good looking, he assumed they probably assumed he'd already done everything there was to do. Or did they know? Wouldn't his lack of girlfriend ever be a good sign that he hadn't?Monika was making Sirius uncomfortable, and that was a tough feat. He ignored her references to doing things that he was inexperienced in. His usual demeanour was slowly slipping away at all the flirty comments, mainly because for once he didn't know how to reply. He didn't spend a lot of time with girls, and least of all Slytherin girls who, in his opinion, were somewhat hitting on him. Was she doing that thing where she was joking but underneath was serious? What kind of Slytherin wanted to snog a Gryffindor? He'd heard rumours of couples in Hogwarts like that in the past, but usually they were shunned. Not that he was thinking of Monika in that way. And who said that one had to be dating to snog? In any case, Sirius didn't know what to think. He threw a fistfall of snow at nothing in particular and watched the snow fall down. Snow falling in the dark was always beautiful. The scenery was stunning. Even though Sirius hated the cold, he always liked snow. He pulled his jacket tighter around himself. It was like he could actually feel the temperature dropping. Sirius glanced at Monika under her blanket and wondered if she was warm enough.Sirius thought her way of thinking about her dog was actually quite sweet. "That's a good way of thinking," he admitted. He laughed at her comment about Slytherins, though. "Slytherins really can be the jealous type. They see something and then they want it right then and there. To be honest, if someone in Gryffindor had a giant dog, I think I'd be jealous too. Except for the fact I'd become best friends with the dog and then eventually the dog would prefer me over their real owner," Sirius shrugged as if it were just a mere fact. "Maybe it's a good thing your dog never met me. You'd probably never see him again." Sirius paused and thought about what it would be like to have a dog. The only experience he really had was being a dog. Most dogs seemed to like him... they seemed to sense it. Maybe it was because Sirius had experience being a dog, he knew how to react around them. Besides, he was so familiar with hanging out with a werewolf he could tell all the signs of aggressive and passive behaviour in dogs. "I'd love to have a dog. A great big one. Probably like a Great Dane, I suppose. Just something to be with me all the time. Could have really used one when I was younger," he let slip. He hoped she didn't take any meaning in that, although there was. Although at school Sirius was not often without company, but during the summer holidays (excluding the last one which he spent with James) he really could have used a dog to sleep at the foot of his bed and just, really, spend time with him. Sirius was really good at holding his own when having arguments with his family and stuff, but being alone in his bedroom really got tiring. He had usually went for long walks, and those walks would have been better with a dog at his side. Being on your own team within a house that was against you was immensely difficult, even if Sirius didn't show it or talk about it. Even with his friends he tended to just shrug it off, even when it did actually bother him. It didn't matter. "All dogs know how to do is love, even when they're idiotic little ankle-biters.""Oh shut up, just ignore that," he said, irritably. It was stupid. "I didn't mean to say that," he admitted, mainly to get her to move on past it. He had never been bitten by girls. Although, technically he'd been bitten by Remus a few times in rat form when he tried to get his attention when they were all out on a full moon. Sirius wasn't about to explain that, although to be fair, that might pass the whole night telling it.Sirius nodded and agreed with her. "We're better off freezing to death than getting caught, even if we waited by the door. They don't take too kindly to students being out past hours, especially when they were outside, trust me. I'm not sure where to go, though," he said as his eyes surveyed the grounds. "There's the Quidditch Pitch? We might be able to find refuge beneath the bleachers. Looks like they still have the tarps up covering them from the last match."
