Bellatrix looked over immediately when her last name was called, offering Alecto a slightly mischievous and wicked grin. Swirling thoughts of marriage and white dresses filled her head and for a moment, she was glad that she wasn’t marrying for love. Marrying for love would have meant hours slaving away to make the evening incandescent in every way imaginable, but this? This was marrying for a title, and that was so much less tedious. She didn’t have to worry about simple matters of the heart any more and could focus her entire being on what she believed her true purpose to be - The Dark Lord. Lecto was right, of course, sooner than later she would have to get used to answering to Bellatrix Lestrange. A shiver ran up her spine and she refused to entertain the idea that she liked the way her new title exuded an eerie purity.
Alecto threw an insult in Rab’s direction and he growled right back at her. It was like watching a pair of knights jousting, trying to see who would back off first. Which would hit the lance directly in the heart and end the madness remained to be seen. Reaching up and placing her hand over her mouth, Bells stifled a yawn and quickly felt another smirk coming to her lips. For once, it was enjoyable watching them go at it out having to be amongst the lovers quarrels herself. ”Oye, come off it-” Feeling not particularly tied to either one of them, Bellatrix was growing weary of hearing them throw insults back and forth. She slowly eyed around the courtyard, looking for more signs of life and when she found herself placated by the lack of other students around, she slowly waltzed to the half-wall that encompassed the courtyard, propping herself up and raising both of her eyebrows, ”-both of you.”
In that moment, Bells locked eyes with Rab and noticed that the youngest Lestrange - instead of the usual scowl that he wore on his face - was now smiling at her from across the small patch of grass that separated them. ‘A curious change in scenery,’ She found herself thinking. The more time that passed the more that she became fascinated with the Lestrange family. If they were to be her blood soon enough, it seemed only fitting.
”Don’t pretend that you don’t love spending time with us, Alecto.” She gave the girl a deliberate wink and then crossed her ankles as she stared at the pair of them. If they didn’t learn to see eye to eye, it was going to be a pain trying to get them to cooperate in the regime. Riddle certainly wouldn’t like it.ooc;; sorry this is so short/bad! I started writing it, got distracted, came back and it was all wonky XD
