Joram felt her hand on his shoulder and he placed his upon hers. There was no love between them, and there was none felt with that touch, but Joram cared too much about what other people thought in order to function properly as of late. He was one of the Terror Twins, he and Rodolphus used to run this ship and guide it directly, but as of late they haven't exactly been on talking terms and that drove him bat shit crazy. It had been a few weeks since he's been working the business, but with Parent's weekend it was more difficult to follow through with anything and it was even more difficult to meet off campus. The boy wasn't going to sell out of his trunk that was for damn sure.
"Thanks." Eileen's voice stung his heart and his mind went reeling to the night he spent with Rodolphus, how he opened his eyes and heart to the one person he wanted to be with more than anything. Words were traded between the pair that he could not frag back in. It was as though everything he worked up for was gone in a flash, but the pain in his chest was not going to subside anytime soon. Not now, especially not after this. Swallowing sharply Joram looked at Eileen and took in a deep breath. "Because she's promised to someone already." Sort of a lie, but honestly not really. It was nineteen seventy six and revealing to anyone that he wasn't straight by any means could put them off greatly, and get him in trouble. He made damn sure that no one knew about the lovers tryst of October.
If Eileen knew what Joram was, or how he felt about Rodolphus it could all be over. The poor boy was just stuck in a constant rut of worry. Anyone he came in contact with he pushed away and quickly. The only one that stuck around long enough was Integra, and now that she was with Rabastan, Joram hardly saw his best friend in the entire world. It was his fault. He was far too forward with everything. Soon his emotions turned and his eyes glanced at Eileen. "I would be with them if it was widely accepted, but alas, she's a Slytherin and I can't exactly get into their circle." Lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie. Joram was actually one of the most sought after individuals, or at least he liked to pretend that he was and he was most definitely within the inner circle of Slytherins... for the most part.
