Rian let the beautiful red head to lead him out of the restaurant and he waved to some of the patrons as they went. He had been able to drop a nice tip for their waitress, who unbeknownst to her had just made his day, rather his year. Her assumptions along with Raven’s of his gesture were enough to solidify something in Rian’s mind. Not only was Raven in love with him but she would marry him if he were to ask. If! Ridiculous there was no question he was going to ask, but he wanted to make it special but he also wanted to do it right now. He knew that there was a family ring that his mother kept for him. She had offered it when he was younger and Rian had laughed it off. But his mother said she would hold on to it. Rian smiled as he felt her hand in his. This was the woman he was going to marry, all he had to do was get that ring and ask her.
He almost literally frowned when she let go of his hand. Of course the disappointment didn’t last long. He watched her take a step and seductively walk back towards him as she fixed her hair. Rian grinned and chuckled softly as she asked where they were going. How was he going to pull this off? His mind was racing, he had to get away without it seeming weird. He grabbed her waist and leaned in to her ear. “Close your eyes and count to one hundred. No peeking” he kissed her cheek and then took a step back and apparated.
When he landed he was off and running. Out the door of the huge bedroom of a child and down the hallway until he reached the steps. He ran down them, three at a time and cut hard when he reached the bottom. He ran into the dining room and saw her, sitting by herself reading the paper. “Mom! I need the ring, grandmom’s engagement ring” His mother screamed and yelled. Shocked to see her son, running through her house. She calmed down long enough to find her composure. She told him where it was and he ran and got it, promising to fill her in tomorrow morning. He popped back, apparently it had been 76 seconds. He smiled. Too easy. Then he realized he should get flowers, he popped again to the end of the street, paid and popped back. 87 seconds. He put his hands around her waist again, placing the protégo spell over them again. He popped them to the top of the Eifel Tower. It was romantic…but not very them. He mumbled to himself and then popped again. He looked around as Raven got to 99. He smiled at her and got on bended knee. There was no better place for this moment, for this act. He opened the box as she opened her eyes. “Raven…”
